Beth and I took a couple of days off around the 4th of July and made our way to the Western Slope of Colorado. Mainly to get away from Denver and to spend some time together without having to worry about work or much of anything else.
Our secondary objective was to see the sights and taste some tasty wine. One such winery we stopped at was Plum Creek. Now we don’t care too much for New World Chardonnay (too buttery…) but Plum Creek’s Chardonnay is fantastic. Plus they also have a Giant Metal Cock hanging out:

We also made our way up to the Colorado National Monument. It was stormy when we went but there were a few breaks in the clouds to get a few shots like this:
