Western Slope

Beth and I took a couple of days off around the 4th of July and made our way to the Western Slope of Colorado. Mainly to get away from Denver and to spend some time together without having to worry about work or much of anything else.

Palisade, Colorado

Our secondary objective was to see the sights and taste some tasty wine. One such winery we stopped at was Plum Creek. Now we don’t care too much for New World Chardonnay (too buttery…) but Plum Creek’s Chardonnay is fantastic. Plus they also have a Giant Metal Cock hanging out:

We also made our way up to the Colorado National Monument. It was stormy when we went but there were a few breaks in the clouds to get a few shots like this:

The Mighty Thor

Mighty Thor

Beth wanted a puppy… We were going to wait until after we got married… but yea that didn’t happen.

This is Thor. He is a boxer puppy, he likes to pee and poo on the kitchen floor, take naps and howl all night long. Mighty Thor

Building in Freemason

This was taken on a trip around Norfolk Virginia in April of 2008. The whole roll of file I used was old/damaged and every shot had a blue tint to it. It was taken with my K1000
